Uploading iphotos to FB from macbook won't work
On macbook, in FB, when I try to upload photos, the 'photos' icon is missing from the finder bar. I can only upload using phone.
MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

Hi - you don't use finder.
In Facebook, click the attach image button. Then you should get a picker that includes the photos option in the side bar under the media section (you might need to scroll down the side bar):

Or... you've collapsed the media section. Hover the mouse over the media section - does a right pointing > appear. if so, click it...
EDIT: - my second post below this one is more likely - try that first...

OK - perhaps your library is no longer set as the system library (only the system library will appear on the left)
With your library open, open preferences and click the circled button. If it is greyed out then the library is already the system library, and that is not the issue.
Apple removed the ability to upload photos from the Mac a few years ago, they say for security reasons. Like you found out, it’s now a P.I.T.A. to do it from a Mac.
Thanks for your quick response Tony :)
My apologies for not wording my issue more clearly.
That very 'photos' icon which you've kindly circled in red is not there any longer. It's been there for years, but it's gone now. Here is a screenshot. There is nothing under the word 'media'....
I was hopeful, but alas, it is grayed out...
See my second reply above
Yes!!! This was the problem!! Right pointing > saved the day!!
Many many thanks Tony!!!
Wooo hooo!
I do wish apple didn't hide that little arrow. Bonkers.
Glad it's fixed.
