Troubleshooting USB SuperDrive:
A. Set this up Correctly:
Perform as instructed here: How to Connect the Apple USB SuperDrive.
B. Verify the Connection:
See if the SuperDrive is even seen:
- Hold Down: the Option key
- Click: the Apple menu
- Select:: About this Mac...
- Click: System Report... button
- Select: Disc Burning (on the left of screen)
- Look For: this SuperDrive
