I just upgraded from Mojave to Big Sur.
I would like to transfer all the podcasts of my iPhone to my current library in Big Sur.
This would avoid me the painful task to download all podcasts again.
Is there a way to do it ?

Unless you've just been downloading podcasts as MP3 and saving in music. Otherwise, your podcasts do move into podcasts app when you upgrade from iTunes to Apple Music.
The podcasts app will display your collection and any podcasts to which you subscribe.

"I ended up re-downloading all unplayed episodes AFTER un-subscribing and re-subscribing to the podcast. The files are not movable currently for Podcast as they are for Music, which can be pointed through Settings>Advanced to another folder. No option currently exist for that in Podcast."
Why did Apple made things so complicated ?
Interesting ! I didn't have this luck apparently. I must have done something wrong.
I found a workaround :
My podcasts are stored in: /Users/[me]/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Podcasts
I dropped some of them in the new folder: Music/Music/Media/Automatically Add to Music
This way they are added automatically in the music library and I can ear them with the Music app

Upgrading from Mojave to Big Sur doesn't transfer the iTunes content (especially podcasts).
Thus the Podcasts app (Big Sur) doesn't show all the podcasts I had in iTunes (Mojave).
How do I transfer these podcasts without having to redownload them ?
If you are using the podcasts app on your phone, you should be able to sync using the podcasts app on the Mac.
I never had an issue. My podcasts moved from iTunes into podcasts app. And after upgrading, were still in the podcasts app (as would be expected).
