Any way to track stolen iPhone 4 without having previously installed an app

Hi, I've had my iPhone 4 stolen.

I've not got a mobile me subscription, (but I'd buy one if it meant I could track the phone?) and haven't installed any third party tracking app either.

Is there any way it could be tracked? It seems silly that my network can send a shutdown signal, to essentially "brick" the phone unless it's recovered, but can't have the device report it's location...

Sounds like you didn't have a passcode set either so the thief now has access to your iPhone. You need to immediately change your iTunes passsword and then set it up as a new device.

My iphone 4s was stolen tonight - is there any way at all of tracking it?????? the theif turned it off as soon as they stole it

There is no way off tracking it if it is switched off. It's inert as a brick if it's switched off.

There is a service like that for computers, so it is possible.

with wake on lan you can turn on turned off computers.

Hi,

My phone has been stolen, after reading the whole thread it seems like there is no way to track the phone... is this like... 100% confirm? if yes then i will just wipe everything via iclound..

One more question, if i wiped information via iclound, will it clean the whole phone? Thank you.
