My Touch ID stopped working and I went to System Pref. and deleted current fingers; now I no longer have the Touch ID icon.

How do I get the Touch ID back?

When I tried to unlock my Mac with TID it would not open and I used my password to unlock.

I then went to TID and deleted finger ID and lost the TID icon and could not install new finger recognition..

iMac 24″, macOS 12.5

Try turning the keyboard off and on, then connecting the keyboard with the cable.
