How did I get AirDropped and no one’s around

I just got a new 13 Pro today, about 3hours after getting it all set up, I was sitting outside alone and absolutely no one near me and I got a random airdrop. I haven’t opened it, nervous to but curious what it is! I’ve never used air drop before don’t know how it works but I thought you had to be with in 30ft for it to work. So how did I get an airdrop when no one is around me and is it safe to open? Letters are in Chinese so I know it’s fake/scam but I still really wanna look at it.
