Apple ID - Card says ‘failed’

In Apple ID for payment, my card says ‘failed’ I’ve recently got a new card, Apple Pay acknowledges it as a card but I can’t download or update app because my card says ‘failed’. Note that there’s nothing wrong with my card or account.

Did you activate your card before attempting to add it to Apple Wallet?


Did you verify all information on the card matches exactly?


Apple Pay Support


If none of those work, then try linking the payment method:


Open Settings ➢ your name at the top of the list ➢ Payment & ShippingAdd Payment Method.


Once the payment method has been added, you will have the option to link it to Apple Pay.
