I’d like to know how reliable Apple watches are at detecting hard falls. The more traditional monitoring systems claim detection rates over 90%. Since I don’t need all the bells and whistles from a smartphone, I wonder if it’s worth the price unless it has good fall detection.
Like fiery jack saying, it is hit and miss. For me, I fall a lot due to a chronic disease: it picked up every single one of them since I have the watch, but here on the forums I sometimes read different stories
I personally woudn't buy a smartwatch just for the fall detection feature,according to the questions we get on this forum fall detection can be a bit hit and miss,my wife has had a few falls and the watch picked up every one of them.If you read this you will see why for some it works 100% of the time and for others it doesn't work at all;
