Apple Watch, hearing aids and accessibility settings on iPhone

I have iP13 and AW5, as well as Oticon hearing aids ("Made for iPhone").

The hearing aids are paired with iP and properly configured in Accessibility settings which allows me to stream sound and use them during calls.

Unfortunately, although the aids battery should last at least 14 hours, it is often drilled after 7-8 even, if I do not make calls or listen to music etc.

After calling the manufacturer, the first question was: do you have Apple Watch? Please turn it off for longer battery life. I did it for a test and, to my surprise, it was the cause - the battery in both devices lasted 14 hours while I streamed a lot of music.

My question is: how can I prevent AW of contacting the hearing devices?

I do not have them on bluetooth devices list in AW. Also, I have everything off in Accessibility settings in AW. The sounds from AW do not reach my hearing aids.

W'd prefer not to turn off Bluetooth on AW.

I need the hearing aids to connect to iPhone, not for the streaming, but for the application that allows me to adjust them whenever I need (buttons on the hearing aids are not enough as they change setting symmetrically).

I understand this is very frustrating. The Apple Watch does not connect to the Oticon Hearing aids The Oticon Hearing aids connect to the iPhone and the iPhone connects to the Apple Watch. If you do not have the Oticon On app installed on your Apple Watch to control the programmed settings on your hearing aids you should not be losing battery life on your hearing aids. You can leave Bluetooth turned on in the Apple Watch. Just make sure you remove the Oticon ON app from the Apple Watch and see if it helps. Reboot your Apple Watch after the app removal.

I have an Apple Watch 6 and Oticon More 1 aids using an iPhone 13 Pro Max with the Oticon On app on both iPhone and Apple Watch and have never had battery issues. My batteries are sealed and they last me from 12-14 hours before they need recharging. If this does not help see your audiologist for support. Thank you very much, that was really helpful!

I was not aware Oticon app was installed on my Apple Watch, I never use anything else than Activity app there and I never used the Oticon app or intended to use it as well.

I tested for few days, and, surprisingly, my Oticon More 1 after 8 hours showed 73-78% battery level, which is an incredible difference!
