Samsung ML-1860 and latest MacOS

After searching around I found many users experience interoperability issue between ML-1860 and latest MacOS because there no supported drivers anymore.

However I I haven't been able to find any solution.

Anyone that managed to get this fixed?

Thanks

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.5

I got Samsung ML-1675 to work in Big Sur and Monterey with the "Samsung ML-1860 Series" driver.

0. As always do a backup, just in case!

1. Connect Samsung ML-1675 printer via USB and turn it ON.

2. Download and install Samsung Printer Drivers v2.6 (Driver Version: 1.03.02) from Apple Support:

-> SamsungPrinterDrivers.dmg

Samsung Printer Drivers v2.6 for OS X

-> On macOS 11-12 Big Sur - Monterey you must install those drivers via Pacifist 4 (~ $24€) because the old installer does not work on newer macOS ("This volume does not the requirements for this update.").

Pacifist > File > Open Package... > [choose SamsungPrinterDrivers.dmg] > [select "SamsungPrinterDrivers.pkg"] > File > Install Files to Default Locations > [Replace (or Update) all files that already exist]

3. System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > [optionally ctrl-click in the left panel "Reset printing system..."] > + > click "Samsung ML-1670 Series" > Use: Choose a driver... Select Software... > select "Samsung ML-1860 Series" > OK > "Add" the printer > OK.
