MacBook Pro Keyboard - backslash not working

MacBook Pro 16" Apple Silicon of the Intel ?

If Intel, sometimes an SMC Reset maybe is in order

Reset the SMC of your Mac and perform this actions 3x consecutively ( bong 1, bong2, bong 3 ) release the Keyboard combo

Apple Silicon does not have an SMC but the equal to SMCon Silicon is shutdown and wait about 30 seconds and then restart

At this point - suggest having the computer evaluated by an Apple Authorized Service Centre where they have the Special Hardware, Special Software and Special Tools to properly diagnose if this is a Hardware Issue or something else

Is it backslash \ or forward slash / ? What you wrote is confused about that.

Does Shift / work?

Is the user using the Builtin Keyboard ?
