Call Forwarding icon on but not active in settings

I have noticed that a call forwarding icon will randomly appear as active on my phone. Even though the call forwarding service is not active. When the icon is present, I go to settings to verify the feature is not active and it’s not is will indeed be off. Once I verify the setting is off the forwarding icon will disappear.

I have ran a virus and malware scan to verify that no malicious activity is going on.

I have preformed a soft restart during the problem as well and it will remove the icon. But it will randomly appear again later.

I have also verified my carrier settings for call forwarding is deactivated or off.

I am not sure what is causing this to happen. Any suggestions or help?

Please try to enable call forwarding and disable it Toggle On and then off.

If you see any Phone number while Enabling Call Forwarding, please remove it. Then disable Call forwarding the you are good to go.

Keep the iPhone updated to the latest iOS always and never Jailbreak. That's it.

iOS / iPadOS devices cannot be infected with Virus / Malware / Spyware if it is updated to the latest iOS/iPadOS unless you have intentionally downloaded spurious software or unauthorized apps directly from the internet and installed them on your device or/and have Jailbroken.

As I stated in my original post I always accomplished this action. Their isn’t any number nor is the call forwarding active. Just opening Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding, to verify the status is still Off (and it always is Off) the icon will disappear. I have also enabled call forwarding deleted any information and disabled it. This did not correct the random call forwarding icon from being displayed on my iPhone later on another day.

My IPhone isn’t jailbroke, and it is always on the most up to date IOS
