How do you remove a bulleted or numbered list in Apple Mail?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.13

In Mail compose window, select all of the bulleted text and press ⌘+[ (Format -> Indentation > Decrease) to strip all bullets and leave just the text.


Tested: macOS 11.6.8

Easiest way is to use Undo but that assumes inserting the bulleted or numbered list was the last thing you did.


The next easiest way is to copy the text into a real text editor and format it the way you want. Pages makes it easy. Copy the edited text back into Mail.


Another way is to "decrease indent" but it only works if you select the last bulleted entry in the list. In other words it requires repeating for every line.

That's a perfectly reasonable explanation and one of the first things I tried. Didn't work!


The error I made was in not including the line after the last bulleted entry. That works.
