Why does apple keep telling that someone in London is trying to sign in on my device? I live in Scotland.

The reported location relates to the your public IP Address of your Internet Service Provider’s gateway that delivers your traffic to the “internet”. The location that you see reported is essentially estimated as opposed to being an “absolute” location. Internet Service Providers (ISPs) will use a pool of IP addresses - and the address that you are using will change regularly - as will your location as perceived by your public IP Address.


If the reported location is within the same country - and the alert broadly corresponds with your own activity - you should not have cause for concern.


However, if there is no correlation with your own activity, you might be well advised to follow this advice:

If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support
