Chromecast with Google TV - Apple TV+ App Error 1021

Getting the Error 1021 code constantly. Connection ok, all other apps on the Chromecast working fine, and can stream from an Apple device on the same WiFi network.

is there a problem with Apple TV+ servers that is only affecting Chromecast devices?

Intermittent functionality of Apple TV streaming Video not available There’s a problem loading this video. If this continues, check your Internet connection. OK I'm getting this error when attempting to watch "Mosquito Coast." However, my Internet connection is excellent (wired) and I can watch other content on Apple TV. I can also watch any other streaming app. The App has been closed and reopened and the TV and router have been restarted. What else could be the problem?
