Ringer Volume is low and can’t be increased

iPhone 13

iOS: 15.1.6

Recently developed a problem where I cannot hear my ringer. Volume is VERY low. When adjusting the slider in settings, it rings loud for -1sec but then volume drops again (although the slider doesn’t move).

Set ringer volume to max (as well as other settings). Checked Focus time, silent switch, and Attention Aware settings. Adjusting with side buttons doesn’t increase volume during active receipt of a call (setting is set to allow the side buttons). Tried to disable side buttons— no change.

Other alerts seem fine.

Ideas?

Hi charlesfrommaine,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing all the troubleshooting you have tried to get this issue with the ringer volume resolved. You've done some really good steps. In addition to what you have already tried, if you use or ever used Bluetooth speakers, or earphones with your iPhone, try turning Bluetooth off, restarting your iPhone, and try once more to set the volume for the ringtone. Don't forget to turn back on Bluetooth after trying to adjust the volume.

If you still are unable to get a higher volume, we recommend reaching out to Apple Support by going to Get Support

Good luck!
