MacBook Charger too hot to touch

I understand that all chargers get hot, but my daughter's MacBook Air charger get so hot that we can't touch it and have to warn the grandkids not to step on it. The square box end is what is hot. My charger doesn't get hot anywhere near the temperature of hers. Is this a hazard? Should she get it replaced?

Please refer to If the adapter gets warm in If your MagSafe cable or power adapter isn't working - Apple Support.

It should never become hot to the point burn injuries become a concern. If it really is that hot by all means have Apple evaluate it: Get Support. If Apple thinks you should bring it in, bring everything including power adapters, charging cables and the affected Macs.
