"Messenger Kids" and iPhone Screen Time Settings

Currently I have set the few allowed apps that I want for my child to have access to at all times. Among these are basically chat applications such as the default calling and messenger apps on the phone. I should also be able to add "Messenger Kids" here which is clearly an application. I understand this "Messenger Kids" app has settings within the app to control this but why is this one app not showing up in this list. It shouldn't be blocked making me have to grant access to the app every day to then have a second layer under it. Seems like something is broken here, I already read this other post linked below and that doesn't seem too helpful. Are we saying Facebook didn't build the app correctly and that is why we need to contact Facebook?
