Security lockout help

My partner’s phone is currently stuck on security lockout. He is trying to erase the phone but it’s saying his Apple ID password is incorrect, so it won’t let him. As he doesn’t have access to his phone, he has no way of resetting his Apple ID password either…

What can we do to get back on his phone?

He can reset his Apple ID password by following these instructions→If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support.


If the phone is disabled and the device has iOS 15.2 or later installed, check out this link→How to reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when you forgot your passcode - Apple Support. Otherwise:

After restoring the phone using one of the methods above you can restore your most recent backup.
