The top of my iPhone X screen is turning purple

The top of my screen is turning purple and I can’t see the time and it has spread and it is slowly turning black only the edges are purple and it has spread slowly over days. I don’t wanna get into trouble or pay to get it fixed. HOW CAN I FIX THIS HUGE PROBLEM???
