after grouping in folders the app icons becomes really small on Home Screen, can this be solved?

Hi community,

I am using iPad Air 5 (iPadOS 15). I have many apps and I want to group them to find them quicker. But after I put them in folders they became very small, so that I need to open the folder to be able to recognize them. My question is can we make those app icons in folder/group as big as the ones not in folders or those in App Library?

The approach to enlarge all the app icons in Settings doesn't apply here.

Using App Library to search for app is also not a good alternative here, because the apps are not categorized by users and some apps icons might be shrinked and hidden.

Thanks and regards,

Sidney

There’s a much simpler way to find and/or run apps that requires no re-organizing of the screen.

  1. Slide your finger down the center of the screen to get the Spotlight Search field to pop-up.
  2. Start typing in any part of the app’s name and iOS will start displaying apps with those letters.
  3. Tap on the app name and VOILA, it’s running!

There comes a time when you will want to reset the home screen layout and Murphy’s Law states that that time will come when least convenient.

When you need to reset your screen layout, via:

Settings, General, Transfer or Reset (iPad/iPhone,etc.), Reset, Reset Home Screen Layout

you will be cursing all the time you lost re-organizing your screen(s).

We all work differently. For me, resetting the Home Screen Layout is quite handy.

I use that after adding or deleting apps, but also when something happens to one of the default widgets or you accidentally delete an app icon.

IMO, it’s a great time saver to quickly reset the Home screen and get back to a consistent and familiar screen layout!
