The right ear Pod hisses in Transparency and Noise Cancellation modes only. I reset the Pods and cleaned them according to the guidance. Any thoughts on next steps?

Same issue. Apple says it was manufactured 11/2020 which is outside the 10/2020 recall date. They refuse to replace even though it is the same issue as the recall.
Thanks for telling me about the recall, I was not aware. Apple Support, after 30 minutes troubleshooting, implied my repair may be covered by the recall although my situation does not fall within the described parameters of the recall. I have sent the AirPods and they will evaluate the situation at the repair facility and advise me. Thanks again.

same happens here suddenly and i suspect the Firmware.
Thanks, that makes sense as the hissing occurs when I remove the AirPods from the case before connecting to an application. They hiss with telephone calls. Very disappointing.
