iphone Compatible With Esim Only

Lets say I purchase the new iphone 14 in the US and I am traveling into a country that doesn't have cellphone carriers with esim support. What are my options to get a cellphone plan? I travel often so I would like to know if it is worth buying the iphone 14

You option is an international roaming plan which DOES support eSIM

eSIMs are NOT unique to North America, many carriers around the world already support them.

One might suspect more will follow-suit fairly quickly; pre-armed with 4x years of lessons-learned by the early-implementing carriers.

Although it will obviously take some time to become as ubiquitous as nanoSIMs
