unhide email folders on iPhone

email folders on iPhone have disappeared but appear on desktop.

Is there a way to "unhide" folders?

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.


Have you tapped on the blue arrow (>)? That should expose your available mailboxes on iOS. This would be the only way to hide and unhide them.


If that doesn't explain the issue, who is your email provider? Have you checked their webmail portal to see if the mailboxes are there?


You can also try deleting the email account and re-adding it.


"Remove your email account and set it up again


  1. On your computer, sign in to your email provider’s website. Make sure that all of your email is there or make sure that your email is saved somewhere other than on your iOS or iPadOS device.
  2. On your device, go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts.
  3. Tap the email account that you want to remove.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Add your account again.


If the steps in this article don't help, contact your email service provider for more information."
