Screentime bug seems deliberate
I too have been living with the screentime bug. It causes lots of problems in my house. We gave phones to my 11 year olds after becoming dependent on screentime as the control mechanism with my 14 year old.
it is now worse than ever and doesn’t work at all! My kids can do everything and use their phones constantly. I physically take them away and they use findmy to get them back. I have had to purchase lockboxes. How ridiculous.
apple i am convinced has disabled screentime by prioritizing security features which prevent it. Its a known issue and has been for over a year. I am going to upgrade to ios16 tomorrow before switching my family to android. We all have new iphones so this is a big change.
