Trade in with Apple care+

Hello, I have bought the iPhone 14 pro and I am trading in my 12 pro for it. My 12 pro ultra wide came glass is broken, the camera works perfectly. When trading in should I activate Apple Care+ and then send in the fixed 12 pro or am I allowed to send in my 12 pro with the injured camera and Apple care+ activates then in order for me to receive the full trade in credit?

Johnathan is correct. Apple won't take a damaged phone in trade. Since you do have a valid AppleCare+ plan use it and get your phone fixed, then trade it in.

If your camera is broken, you aren’t going to get anything for it through a trade in.

Your best bet is repair it and then trade it in.
