hinge is making sound

my hinge is making sound is having a cracking sound when I my MacBook lid is open for 1 to 1.5 hr on the same position without and interruption and then I try to close it it feels like its is locked and with a bone cracking sound it closes. is it a issue with the hinge or its have a design fault on this model? or its a manufacturing error.
