macOS Monterey 12.5.1 logs me out, after 54 minutes (random timing) or more.

I have an iMac 27" (2017) running macOS Monterey 12.5.1. The OS logs me out,

after 54 minutes (random timing) or more of inactivity (or so it seems). To clarify, if the

system is idle or I'm listening to Apple music (closes and quits) or Amazon

music (closes but doesn't quit) [I presume macOS Monterey considers music

playing as being idle], the OS logs out forcing me to sign in again. It's very annoying.

Any idea why this happens? I cannot find a setting that is applicable to this.

Is "Require password…" set in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General?

Yes and it will not allow me to change it! I even tried pressing the 'control', 'option', and 'command' keys separately while hovering over the lock, nothing happens. Ah, option + 'Security & Privacy' allowed me to makes changes. We'll see if that resolved the issue. I will let you know.

Oops, 25 minutes later, the OS logged out, so at best changing that setting delayed the issue. But at least it lasted 3.5 hours. Unfortunately, the matter is not 'solved'. We're getting there. Does anyone have another potential fix?

Thank you dialabrain, that did the job, the music has been playing for 3 hours, 1 hour longer than the longest time prior to your fix. Very much appreciated.
