Notifications Silenced?

Notifications silenced even with all focus options disabled. I've done every update, enabled and disabled, removed other focus options and nothing removes my notifications from being silenced. I keep my phone on silent because I have a dog who is sensitive to message sounds. I've always had my phone set up this way, but regardless, even when it's not on silent. My notifications are still showing silenced when my friends message. They send me screenshots to show its on.

We want to help resolve the issues you're having with silenced notifications.

Checking Focus settings was a great step to take.

We'd also recommend reviewing your notification settings to ensure everything appears as expected there: Change notification settings on iPhone - Apple Support

If that doesn't help, we'd recommend changing the sound for the notification to see if that changes anything. This article explains how: Change message notifications on iPhone - Apple Support

"Set the alert sound for messages

Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics (on supported models) or Sounds (other models).
Tap Text Tone, then do one of the following:

Tap Vibration, then choose an option.
Tap a sound below Alert Tones.
Tap Tone Store to download an alert sound from the iTunes Store.

I tried the suggestion above and it didn't work. Nothing works. I tried turning off Focus completely, I tried adding a list of contacts to allow notifications when silenced. I tried turn off and turning on my phone after disabling all Focus notification status' I tried disabling focus from the top screen option. You name it, I did it. I saw videos on how to disable focus on IOS 16 and nothing. It's a glitch and it needs to be fixed. This is ridiculous! I don't even use Focus--if I don't want people or apps disturbing me, I simply ignore and don't respond or shut my phone off. Simple. This focus feature gets more complicated every update.
