iOS 16 Time

Can the time font on the home screen be changed? I think it's way too big.

Yes. You can make custom lock screens with 1 of 8 different fonts, but you cannot change the actual size.

See here: link-> Personalize your iPhone Lock Screen - Apple Support

Tap and hold on the Lock Screen to bring up the Lock Screen edit mode. Tap on customize to make changes to the Lock Screen.

If this is the Lock Screen you had from a previous iOS version, you will need to create a new Lock Screen to edit fonts and colors and backgrounds.
