iPhone 7 // iOS 15.7 // Verify unable to connect to internet

While the whole OS was downloaded.....I get this error.

Tried the following - however, unable to proceed further

Restarted the phone multiple times
Downloaded 15.7 - deleted ....downloaded again .....no luck when installing
Downloaded 16 - deleted ....downloaded again .....no luck when installing

What other suggestions / recommendations to overcome this issue ?

FYI - I'm using WiFi.

Got a pre-paid SIM card ....but unable to use it because it's indicating to upgrade the iOS

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. Excellent job with the steps that were performed. Our recommendation is to connect the iPhone to a computer and complete the update. This is an alternative method that can help get the update completed. Here's how:

Update using your computer

1.Connect iPhone and your computer with a cable.

2.Do one of the following:

On a Mac (macOS 10.15 or later): In the Finder sidebar, select your iPhone, then click General at the top of the window.

On a Mac (macOS 10.14 or earlier) or a Windows PC: Open the iTunes app, click the button resembling an iPhone near the top left of the iTunes window, then click Summary.

Note: Use the latest version of iTunes. See the Apple Support article Update to the latest version of iTunes.

3.Click Check for Update.

4.To install an available update, click Update.
