IPhone keeps logging out of gmail

Hello, having an issue where a user is constantly signed out of their Gmail on their iPhone 12 Pro Max every night and has to sign back in. It's only happening to one of their Gmail accounts but am unsure how to pinpoint the problem through Gmail if that's where the issue lies.


I've tried the following:

- Re-entering the password through settings to reauthenticate it.

- Disabled and re-enabled the mail app.

- I've checked the syncing under the Fetch New Data option

- Deleted and added the account again

- Reset all settings

- Removed and reinstalled the Mail app

- It is currently updated with the latest iOS


Not too sure where to go from here as at least one of these steps has worked for previous users. Any advice would be appreciated.

To help us get a better understanding of the issue, we’d like to ask a few questions.


  1. Just to confirm, it seems like multiple email accounts are being used on the device, and only one account is experiencing the issue, is that correct?
  2. Do any errors appear on the device before the account is signed out? If so, what does the error say?
  3. Were any changes made to the device or account before this began?


If the issue seems to be that the password isn't being accepted, or needs to be entered again, the "Check your email address and password" part of the following link has some information that may help with that issue: If you can’t send email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


Check your email address and password

If Mail asks you to enter a password for your email account, make sure that your password is correct. To check your email address and password, sign in to your email provider's website.

If you still get a user name or password error, contact your email provider or system administrator.
