Issues with my Ape gift card

I bought a gift card because my old CC got hacked. Redeemed it. It gave me $40 in my Apple account. However, Apple would not let me use my gift card until I updated my CC info. So I put in another card and now I only have $14 in my Apple account and I didn’t spend any of it.
