Apple Watch assistive touch issues since update

As I’m one handed I use assistive touch everyday. Firstly praise for the genius who implemented this into the Apple Watch it is truly amazing. However, since the latest update some of the functions aren’t working.

The weather App for instance. Normally I would just clench my fist when I’m in the first screen and that would take me to the second screen showing whether it’s Sunny or cloudy etc. now it just takes you to another screen altogether. Also can’t scroll down.


when I’m in the compass App it doesn’t allow you to highlight and select done.


I’m sure there are many other things that I haven’t come across yet but no idea if or how I can report this.

  1. If your Apple Watch is charging, take it off the charger.
  2. Press and hold the side button until you see the power button  in the upper-right corner of the display.
  3. Tap the power button.
  4. Drag the Power Off slider.
  5. After your watch turns off, press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo."


"How to restart your Apple Watch if you have watchOS 8 or earlier

  1. If your Apple Watch is charging, take it off the charger.
  2. Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider.
