WatchOS 9 calendar date

Why are there so few choices for calendar date complication.

The new 9 one is also so small and difficult to decipher the date. Especially in Utility face with red around black date.

Where’s the accessibility reviewer for this, with my somewhat older eyesight need to put glasses on to read it.

OS 8 was simple larger and easy to read, why can’t both options be available.
