No AM or PM on IOS 16

Where did AM and PM go on our iPhones. I updated to IOS 16 on my iPhone 13 Pro Max thinking Apple IOS developers would fix the bug. The only way to tell is if you put in 24hr mode.

how do i get my $1,700 iphone to tell me AM and PM like it used to?

i work in a studio for TV/Film and need to know AM and PM. I put in 24hr mode but i am not in military. See i booted my old iphone 3 and it had AM and PM and screen was so bright i could see it in sunlight! And colors were super bright.

Then i compared it to iphone 13 and noticed AM PM . I tried my Iphone 8 Plus it has it too. Same with iphone 10.

Its really depressing to not have ability to see AM and PM. My overseas friends show it on there newer iphones!

so it works, just not in USA.

Please tell us how to get it to display AM and PM next to time. No excuse for not having period!

I am sorry, that is not true. Iphones have had AM and PM up to X. Then only some Regions had it. I own every iphone made in my studio on display. And every mac starting with Mac Plus. Your answer is not helpful, nor truthful or offering any help. Post production houses, Tv/Film editor's, News outlets, Animators, CGI places all need AM and PM as they are. salaried jobs and people who travel on production sets who fly to different states, countries need it. As Apple programmers as they work day and night. Its a choice Apple marketing made. There is room too as Russia had it until last two OS’s. It was set in regions years back

so its a marketing choice or bug as there is plenty of screen space. I used to have a great user experience and enjoy my locked screen when phone was charging, and i used it “at a glance” as my wall clock and did not need a watch.

My locked screen told me missed calls, day, year, time AM and PM and weather. So cool but now Apple took control of my iphone, deciding what they like, and destroying the great user experience I have enjoyed since its inception. Rome fell because of bad choices. International standards are there for a reason. 12hr format includes AM and PM as ISO 9600 standard. 24 hr format does not require AM and PM as international Zulu time is used by military. And 24hr is self explanatory, and full proof when in military and flying internationally etc.

Its a slight of hand to remove AM and PM and it must be fixed in next software rev ASAP. Its not fair to handicapped or blind people either. (Yes blind people use iphone matter of fact it's the #1 choice for handicapped with Siri and supporting automation apps for Home.

How do i set AM and PM to display on 12hr mode in iphone IOS 16 (As worldwide time format standard defines)
How do i get AM and PM to display in my locked screen in 12hr mode as world standard defines on IOS 16?

what makes iphone so cool is that its mine! and i can personalize it! Its not rented, or a community iphone it is mine! I make it my companion because it helps me through my day, providing me tools to help my work, life and day go smoother. To take away the most vital tool as “Time” AM and PM makes my iphone my enemy. And no longer a tool for me, but a tool for making me buy a Apple watch! Thats not cool….
