iphone 13 mini camera quality

I've seen a lot of people complain about the camera quality for the iPhone 13 and how it overly saturates and sharpens pictures. A lot of people have recommended turning off HDR to fix this, but my iPhone 13 mini doesn't have that option. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this on the mini? I used to have an iPhone 8 and I feel like that phone took way better pictures than my 13, which is disappointing.

Hello jia292,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

What is the exact iOS version you’re using on your phone? Apple has recently released an iOS update. We recommend starting with the steps here: If the camera or flash on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working - Apple Support

  • Remove any case, accessory, or film that might block the camera or flash or that places a magnet near the camera.
  • Test the camera by trying to take a photo.
  • Test the LED flash:
  • Try the flashlight in Control Center on your iPhone or Control Center on your iPad. On an iPhone X or later or an iPad, swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen. On an iPhone 8 or earlier, swipe up from the bottom edge of any screen.
  • Tap the Flashlight button

We also recommend the tips here: Take great photos and videos - Apple Support
