Macbook air won't connect to my kobo

A few weeks ago, I used the command "sudo killall -CONT usbd" because my iPhone X kept connecting and disconnecting from my macbook while charging. This fixed the charging issue but since then I can't connect my kobo ereader anymore. It just doesn't connect to my macbook. It does work with other laptops, it's just my mac that doesn't work, so it's not the kobo and not the usb cable. Is there any way I can undo the "sudo killall -CONT usbd" command?
