iPhone 12 - Do I have a keyboard problem.

I have a very strange issue with my iPhone 12 - hope someone can help.

I have made two telephone calls today to completely unrelated different companies.

Each one one has an automated switchboard. They say something like, “press 1 for Sales, press 2 for warehouse”, etc, etc.

I press the correct key and the number shows on my screen, so far everything is normal.

But for some reason my replies are ignored, they keep asking “press 1 for Sales” etc.

Eventually my call is cut off as they think I’m not replying.

What’s gone wrong, everything was fine yesterday

many thanks
