Unable to make a purchase using my apple account balance!

Eg: says:

"You can use the funds from your Apple Account Balance IN COMBINATION with Apple Pay or one credit card (and up to eight Apple Gift Cards)".

Anyone making an unsuccessful purchase purchase want to try:

Eg : Apple balance for the purchase price less $5 or so

Credit / Debit card for the remaining $5 or so

Suspecting Apple Security may want to check credit card address matches shipping address in order to further protect you and your money / account / delivery.

Commiserations on the long wait time for calls ... am guessing many companies have staff shortages.

Wondering if your Apple balance availability could be held up by the process of a cancelled order.

When making a purchase, some products available in the online store may offer a link to chat online with a specialist to help with the purchase.

I've been having the same issue when trying to purchase an Apple Watch 8 and AirPods. Made multiple calls to no solution. One rep tried placing the order for me and ran into the same error message - "Your payment authorization failed. Please verify your information and try again, or try another payment method." I'm also having a problem with adding my Apple Account to my Wallet - "Cannot Add Card Your Apple Account Balance cannot be added to Wallet at this time."

I am also having the same problem, I don’t understand what could be the issue, I even called Apple customer service and tried to order over the phone.

they had same issue at their end and were clueless

also different types of error while ordering from App and website

Same issue here, i have two apple ids topped up to 2k with gift cards but get this error message.

PLEASE HELP

tried that, bought extra a 100$ prepaid credit card but it still doesn't work
