We agree that this is unexpected behavior, especially since you've already tried rotating the screen, but the issue remains. While you may need to contact Apple Support about this we'd like to first rule out some possible general causes by confirming the following:
- Have you already tried a restart of your iPhone? Sometimes unexpected behavior is resolved by a restart. This link shows how to Restart your iPhone.
- We see you have iOS 16 installed, but is iOS 16.0 the exact version showing under Settings > General > About?
- Does this occur with the numeric keyboard only when trying to enter a new payment method, or has this occurred in other circumstances for which the keyboard is used?
