Hello Hastings58,
We understand that you cannot mirror the screen on your iPhone. Is that correct? If so, we recommend the steps in this article: If screen mirroring or streaming isn't working on your AirPlay-compatible device
Once you click and open the link, please read through and complete the steps in the section titled "Try these steps first."
After each step, see if you still need help.
1) Make sure that your AirPlay-compatible devices are turned on and near each other.
2) Check that the devices are updated to the latest software and are on the same Wi-Fi network.
3) Restart the devices that you want to use with AirPlay or screen mirroring.
If you're prompted to enter a password, you might have restrictions turned on, or you might need to adjust your AirPlay password settings.
The steps above will show you what to do if you can't mirror the screen on your iOS device.
If the original problem persists after trying the previous steps, please provide us with specifics on what you see for more help, and we will continue from there.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.
Cheers!

A complete reset of my iMac was what it took to allow screen mirroring again.
Thank you for your help.
You're most welcome Hastings58,
We're glad to see the issue is resolved, and hope you have a great day.
