Music Shuffle-

Why does Shuffle not work on either of my 2 MacBook Pros or my Mac Mini? When I click on "Shuffle" the app picks one track at random but then repeats that one forever & the shuffle icon stays the same colour. This started a few months ago. Before that Shuffle worked fine. Is it because I don't pay for an add-on app of the same name that I don't want because I mostly listen to music in places where internet is unavailable or eye-waterimgly expensive [Try streaming "Money, money, money" in St. Helena Island!]?

Mac mini, macOS 12.5

See Shuffle or repeat songs in Music on Mac - Apple Support. Use the Controls > Shuffle and Controls > Repeat menus. It would seem you currently have Repeat > One mode selected Depending on your choice of accent color in your Mac's system preferences the shuffle and repeat icons might not change color when accessed.

Thank you. Problem solved. Never really took any notice of those symbols up in the corner of the screen before & I also assumed that the repeat one referred to the playlist as a whole, not the tracks on it. Well done that man!
