I want to login my iCloud

I login my friend iCloud on my phone then after we both have a misunderstanding he changed password then I can’t sign in my iCloud account anymore

I change my password on my i cloud account and my apple id, now my I phone 12 I couldnt sign in I bought an I phone 12 from my friend and its unlocked. I set up the phone and it was successfully signed in. The next day I forget the password that i created, and it was locked out. I changed my password on my apple id and my i cloud account and i tried to sign in in my phone but it didn't go through. The screen says that sign in with your i cloud account and i did with my new password but no luck.
