I bought a blue color iphone 12 just 5 months back and the paint near camera ring started going away. It chipping off day be day and becoming silver now.
Really upset about this kind of material provided by apple.
We are paying huge amount for these premium phones and this kind of cheap quality paint and material ??

Apple doesn't warrant against cosmetic damage. Paint doesn't chip unless something touch comes in contact with it. Perhaps you keep your phone in a purse or bad with metal objects, such as keys?
Since Apple won't replace your phone, if the slight chips bother you, go out to Amazon.com and buy camera surrounds which provide added protection.
Ps: iPhone 12 (not pro models) are painted aluminum. The finish is about as durable as any paint over aluminum can be. If you want a more durably finished phone in the future, the pro models are Stainless Steel with a much more durable PVD process creating the color. Spend more to get more.......
I keep my phone with so much of care and there has been no incident when i dropped my phone or rubbed on any hard surface. Even after so much of care, if the paint fades like this, its very disappointing.
Would they reapir this if i pay the cost??
No, they won't repair your iPhone and they won't replace your iPhone. Either live with it or do as I suggested and buy camera surrounds, which will solve this very affordably.
