iMac Touch ID I accidentally deleted my fingerprint and now I can't add it back. each time I try to add my fingerprint it says it has to turn off auto logon and then the add fingerprint button disappears.

You visit System Preferences and on its View menu, select Customize… The Touch ID preference panel will not be selected, so do that and it will return among the available Preferences.
