MacOs Monterey is not updating on my iMac 5k retina late 2015 model. Help!

I keep trying to update my software to Monterey but my computer is not letting me. Also, I cannot seem to use any adobe products as apparently they need a newer OS as well. Please help.

Hi ktnurse82,

Welcome to the Apple Community.

Wondering which Mac OS version you are trying to update from.

If it is MacOS 13 High Sierra, the difficulty is likely to be a compatibility issue.

Am no expert in this area, yet your request surely deserves a reply.

Mac OS versions before Catalina (Mac OS 10.15) used 32 bit apps,

whereas

Mac OS Catalina and later versions must use use 64 bit apps
