iPhone 14 Pro Battery Draining Fast

Anybody have a clue why the iPhone 14 pro battery is draining like a Samsung? My 13 pro and 13 pro max battery was so much better.. I’m lucky to get through the day with the new 14 pro battery!! What’s going on? Is this because of the new always on display?

Update: The battery is fine. It’s the particular Astronomy Lock Screen and always on display that was killing battery. I guess because the globe rendering is live 3D, the battery drain is higher when combined with always on display. A regular static image doesn’t drain the battery like this.

I keep reading answers posted like this but when it isn’t your first or second or third …. iPhone, you can compare battery life across models. And the iPhone 14 pro battery is simply not as good as others.

I can also compare battery life across models, I have had iPhones for 15 years. By far, my iPhone 14 Pro has the best battery life of any iPhone I have ever owned, by a very large margin. I end the day above 70% charge. My previous XR would be below 20% at the end of the day. I don’t even bother to carry a battery pack when I go out anymore.

Of the more recent models, I've owned iPhone X, 11 Pro Max, 12 Pro Max, 13 Pro Max and now 14 Pro Max. My 14 Pro Max has the best battery life of them all. I use my phone all day, including at least an hour (sometimes more) of streaming Apple Music to my BT headphones and I can't remember a day since I've owned this phone on launch day, the battery has barely dipped below 80% by the end of the day. My phone goes off the charger in the morning at 7:30 AM and doesn't go back on the charger until I go to bed at night, typically around 11:30 PM.

omg yes of course. That does not however explain the large number of people who are using the new model in the exact same area(s) in the same ways with the same apps and the same settings who are seeing significantly worse battery life. The good experience of some users does not prove that others are not seeing legitimately poor battery life. Sheesh. I need to unsubscribe from this useless thread.

I'm seeing similar issues. After you did the restore and manual sync 1-month ago, have your issues been resolved, or did you do something else as well?

I'm losing 10% per hour and it's pointing to all sorts of culprits. However, turning them off does nothing and I've restored a few times as well, but restored directly from iCloud during that setup. It's fixed itself a few times, but has always come back. Most recently, I'm seeing the 'Contacts' app using 9.3Gb in the past 4 days on cell

I have had this same problem as well. Before my iPhone 14 pro max, I had the iPhone 11 Pro Max and I would still have at least a fourth of my battery percentage left by the end of the day but it seems like by 3 o’clock each day my battery is either dead or very close to dying. I’m not sure if it has to done with the Lock Screen staying on throughout the day (always on display) or what the issue may be. At first I figured maybe my phone was running things in the background and still downloading from the iCloud from my iPhone 11 that I switched from but after a week of the same batter issue I knew there is something different going on. Anyone have suggestions or know what could be the problem? Seems I’m not the only one with this issue…

With over 1.5 billion iPhone users no matter what problem you have you won’t be the only one that has it. And if it was the always on feature I wouldn’t end each day with 70% to 80% of my charge still available. In the 2 1/2 months I’ve had my 14 Pro I had only one day when my charge got down to 30% by the end of the day.

I don't know how you do that tbh.

I took my phone off the charger at 9 pm yesterday, had it set to flight mode for the night and it was still at 100% this morning when I activated it at 7.30 am.

Now it is shortly after 12.30 and I am at 84% - meaning it has lost 16% or 3.2% per hour since!! I have NOT used the phone in any way in these 5 hours, it has just been sitting on my desk.

Apps' usage of the battery has been negligable, and my On-screen-time in the last 24 hours was a laughable 10 minutes!!

If that is considered "normal" battery drain, then that is super disappointing to say the least. I'm seriously considering returning the phone right now. I couldn't even use it for longer streaming of music or videos, that would probably end the battery in an hour or so.

I just start using my 14pro and until my carrier send me emails that I’m covered for next 2 years about battery, there is an app that I can check battery Health etc. 3-4 days using I try it and show me that I have a battery problem then I notice, really it’s draining much quicker than my friends ones !and it’s 3-4 days old
