Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
After increasing the cursor size as recommended by someone with this problem in 2018, I now have a giant cursor that only shows on the laptop screen but WILL briefly appear on the external screen if I violently shake it.
Anyone have a recommendation?

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
