Watch goes to compass mode. What gives?

Unfortunately, this hasn't worked for me on my new ultra and it's irritating cause it takes away my date as well.

I have the same problem - just started about a week ago. Those settings did not solve the problem.

My watch just started doing this also after more than a year old. The settings didn't work for me either. What gives?

When I follow these instructions and I get to "when in session" I can't turn off the app. I must be doing something wrong.

Finally, this worked. Why in the world would Apple go and make such strange settings assumptions?

It's not as if my watch's compass worked well to begin with anyways.
